Auditorium Design

At the core of Artec's design services is Auditorium Design. Artec applies its many years of experience in the design and planning of auditoria to each and every project, striving on each occasion to achieve the most appropriate solutions for the needs and ambitions of the Client.

Artec's list of commissions includes many different types of rooms, both new facilities and renovations, spanning a wide range of capital investment. We have worked on an extraordinarily wide variety of rooms, including, but not limited to, opera houses, proscenium theatres, thrust stage theatres, flexible spaces, arena theatres, recital halls, concert halls, and outdoor performance venues.

Designing a venue that incorporates the characteristics of several different types of facilities into one space is sometimes the appropriate solution to meet the needs of the community. Often, we recommend the incorporation of Adjustable Features that will allow the future owners and operators to accommodate a very wide range of performance types.

Artec approaches each project as an integral whole, starting from establishing the spatial relationship between the artists and the audience, so that each design develops the appropriate balance between architecture, acoustics, sightlines, audience comfort and safety, as well as the incorporation of appropriate Adjustable Features and specialized Performance Equipment Systems.
